After repeatedly assisting clients (who struggle to express themselves as a brand) escape the death march of their misguided thoughts on ideal clients and strategies that don't apply to their unique situation, my mission when designing for 1-3 man shows became clear.

Good design is alive. Design that is disconnected, inconsistent, or inaccurately reflects the service it's created for is dead. If you want to do what fuels your passion, your business’s visual identity needs to make the people who make that service relevant feel seen and heard. It should cut through the noise of those who aren't doing this.

Using eye-candy or shock value to escape positioning and differentiating your services because you believe ideal clients are a myth, and focusing is limiting is like witchcraft—something used to revive the dead.
